Organizing Research
Meta-Perspective on Research
I am interested in looking at the meta-perspective of my work — how research is conducted, from looking for a suitable domain, finding a workable idea, conducting experiments, examining and interpreting the results, writing the paper, and publishing it in a scientific journal.
Organizing Creativity
Originally as a private project, I started occupying myself with research about creativity and ways to organize creativity. I think that “creativity techniques” like brainstorming are overrated but I think it is possible to change the infrastructure to enhance individual creativity — simply by focussing on acquiring the necessary domain knowledge, making time for incubation phases, capturing ideas immediately, collecting them to allow them to grow and improve, and finally to realize them. While it is a practical book that is based more on personal experience rather than scientific research, I have written some tips about this in a book called “Organizing Creativity”.
