Daily Comic Strips
For some people it’s their daily morning coffee, for others a walk by foot to work — just some kind of ritual to start the day with. For me it’s four comic strips that get published every day. After reading them continuously for a few years it is rare that I break out laughing like I used to when I started reading them, so they can wear off, especially if you know where the author is heading after reading the first field. But they are — nevertheless — a great start into the day:
- Dilbert by Scott Adams
An engineer working in a cube farm — if you ever worked for a large company this comic is for you. - User Friendly by J.D. “Illiad” Frazer
Geeks working at an internet provider — recommended if you work with computers. - Non Sequitur by Wiley Miller
Looking on the daily absurdities of life — highly recommended if you think about the world we live in. - PhD Comics by Jorge Cham
For all grad school students working on their doctoral dissertation. It is what Dilbert is for employees in large companies: so true, but no one on the outside would believe you.
